Sydor Optics offers plate beamsplitters, which are the most cost effective type of general purpose beamsplitter available. Beamsplitters are utilized for dividing one beam into two or more separate beams. Simple beamsplitters divert a portion of a beam into a different direction.
General Specifications:
- Material: BK-7 and fused silica
- Wedge: < 30 arc seconds
- Size: Available in a variety of sizes (rectangle, diameters, etc.)
- Coating Surface 1: Beamsplitter Coating for 45˚ AOI
- Coating Surface 2: Broadband AR Coating , R<0.5% within wavelength range
- Used with unpolarized light
Sydor fabricates plate beamsplitters, which include a slight wedge to eliminate interference fringes.
