This wafer is made from Borofloat® (BF-33) glass, precision-manufactured to deliver excellent optical clarity, thermal stability, and dimensional control. The wafer is 200.00 mm ± 0.20 mm in diameter and 0.70 mm ± 0.10 mm thick, offering a large optical area while remaining lightweight and thin. About 85% of its diameter constitutes clear aperture for usable optical performance.

Surface cosmetics are held to a 40/20 scratch-dig standard. The edges are fine-edge ground with a C-bevel to protect against chipping (chip size < 0.5 mm). Optical form specs include a transmitted wavefront error < 0.25 waves per inch and a reflective wavefront error < 1 wave per inch (measured at 632 nm metrology wavelength). Parallelism is better than 30 arc-seconds. Surface roughness is < 1 nm RMS, and total thickness variation (TTV) is under 5 µm.
